Peter practiced law for 19 years as a partner in a large Toronto law firm exclusively in the areas of employment and labour relations law, including wrongful dismissal, human rights, employment standards, occupational health and safety, workers compensation and pay equity. Peter practiced in the private, public, health, municipal, industrial and construction sectors.

In 2004 Peter accepted an appointment as a full-time Vice-Chair of the Ontario Labour Relations Board. At this time Peter also commenced his private practice as a Mediator and Arbitrator.

Peter is a co-author of the Canadian Employment Law Factbook, which reviews the law regarding labour relations, employment standards, human rights, occupational health and safety and pay equity across Canada.

Peter has also written articles and has spoken at conferences and workshops on a broad range of employment and labour law topics.

Peter has served on the Executive Committees of both the Labour Relations and Employment Law Section and the ADR Section of the Ontario Bar Association. Peter is the Co-Editor of the ADR Section Newsletter.

Peter has mediated and/or arbitrated hundreds of disputes and has proven and effective mediation and arbitration skills. Peter is able to resolve difficult employment disputes in a productive and cost-efficient manner.
